Doc, et. al: I ask because I have a mixmaster luger (shooter) whose barrel extension has a hole for a sear-safety rivet. However, the sideplate is not matching to the BE and has no cutout. Would it be feasible to cut out the existing sideplate and fit a rivet and sear safety bar? It would be a sort of pseudo rework.....
