Question Bought a 1918 Luger

Just bought a Luger! Have always wanted one - one that works, that is.

SN is 23xx and is in good shape. 1918 DMW manuf. Don't know how to grade them. All the SN's match and the gun functions perfectly. It's a delight to shoot. The grips look real good.

When I got it it wouldn't even ****. Cleaned all the dried gunk off it and it worked fine.

Any idea of value? Can I shoot it or should I put it up? No holster and the mag is not original. I have bought three Megar mags and will proof them this afternoon.

I have a pic but don't know how to post it.

Thanks for your help.

Ragin, welcome to the forum!

A "shooter" Luger is worth $350-$550, more in Kalf., and an all matching 1918 DWM is worth around $900-$1,300, depending on condition, possibly more?
