If a Luger doubles it sometimes comes from a weak trigger bar spring. If this little flat spring is too weak the trigger bar cannot catch the firing pin quickly enough while the toggle moves back into the ready to fire position. You can remove the spring and bend it a little to put more force on the trigger bar. But then the trigger becomes harder to be pulled.
