Jerry is correct. The lift strap is also different. On the P38 both ends are stitched (or sometimes riveted). On a luger, the strap come through the front body and is "pulled" manually by the wearer.
Also, after 1940, holsters started to be marked "P08" and "P38" respectively. There are also many other differences in details such as makers, dates, waffenampts, materials used and so on.......... Matt ![]() |
