On my monitor, the finish on the pistol has a slightly greenish cast. Is that real or is it an artifact of the photography?

Nah, it's the photos. I think it's the combination of the lighting plus I had to enhance them a little with a filter to brighten the photos up.

Hey Zeppelin, I like your BYF '41. I have a BYF '41 with serial ending in 78 just like you!! We could swap small parts and still be matching ! ? (My '41 is a little later, 1878z) Thanks for sharing.

Here's my BYF 41 with a matching numbered mag. FXO straight eagle 37 Waa. Serial number 1991r. Nice gun overall. Seems there is no hard rule about numbered mags on these guns.

That is true... from what I can find, they stopped numbering the mags about the "U" block.
