Default Estate sale find

Found this at an estate sale and took a chance on it. It looks like somebody removed the tool pouch, but that's the only major issue I have found.

So now it would be interesting to know if this is the real McCoy or a replica. The "fancy" leather makes me think it's a commercial model, and I have never seen any reproductions that look like this. So what's the verdict?

The leather makes me think repro too.
How "thick" is the leather?

The leather is pretty thick, but appears to be of better quality than you normally see in repros. It has some age to it as well. There's a few worn spots where it's turning brown, and somebody (probably Jerry Burney) told me that modern black leather will have a green tint to it when it wears.
