Thank you...I wish I could take credit for it but it is a photo that I came across (perhaps on this forum) that I copied for my reference. I like to save stuff like this to use for illustrating details, as in this tread.

Default Made in Germany barrels

The "MADE IN GERMANY" marked barrels are in general, pretty good, some batches better than others? On just about all of them, the front sight dovetail is too big, allowing for the sight blade to move loosely about.... Worse yet, some of them have a too small front sight base platform to where the sight hangs over front and back?... Most of them tighten up and index well and all is in alignment. I also like that the threads are cut to the shoulder like originals, and not into a recess behind the flange like most reproductions... Where and when they came into the country, I don't know, but there has been a bunch of them show up in the last few years... I always have three or four on hand... They shoot well... best to all, til...lat'r.....GT
