Thanks everyone I value all of your opinions very much. This luger has certainly given me enough to study, learn, and research. That is what I enjoy the most while participating in this “hobby” with my Dad.
I purchased this Luger to keep in my collection for many years so “it is what it is” and I will give it proper care while it is in my possession. Preservation of these and other, historical items are growing more and more important as future generations hopefully begin to understand how important our history is… and not recreate it as time “marches on”. |

O 8024 came with wooden grips. That much I know.
Your grips look original. They just may not be original to the gun. They also may have been replaced because of damage to the wooden ones. A World War is not for sissies. ![]() |
