Default My sweet Westie Abby

Had to put my buddy down this evening. Vet not sure what but thinks she probably got something when I boarded her in Oct. She has been going down hill since. She was a great little dog . She still looked every day for Mary. I will truly miss her. She was family and in someway a piece of Mary. She was only 6. Hope you can read this I seem to have a misting problem. Bill

I have a bit of a misting problem just reading it Bill. Since we lost our pets, to this day every time I see a nice dog or cat it tugs at my heart. I don't have the fortitude to try again. You have my condolences friend.

I share your pain. I've always cried when one of my dogs passes on. They are a part of us.

Bill, I am so sorry --- Most of ours have lived to 10 yrs, although we had a rottweiler 25 yrs ago and she got a back-let bone cancer and she was just over 5. We know they will go, but its really awful when they go so quick.

I am truly sorry Bill, I know this is just another thing to happen.

Your friend,

Ed

Heart breaking. I lost two of my Rott's a month apart to bone cancer they were broter and sister eight years old. The vet asked what food I had been feeding and just shook his head when I said Costco lamb and rice.

I'm down to my last three rescue dogs all abandoned on our country road. 15-7 and 6 years with me.

Sorry for your loss.

Bill

I know what you're feeling, I share your pain.
In the past I used to live in the countryside and I had dogs, cats, hens, and saddle horses, but every time I had to take an old or ill friend to the vet to put him to sleep for me was terrible and every time I used to say "no more pets" as it was like losing a member of the family.
Now I live in a much smaller house just outside a big town and I only have Sofia a female cat that sort of "adopted" us about three years ago.

Come on Bill and try to cheer up.

Sergio

Bill I am sorry to hear about your loss.
Pets do become part of your family. I think I know what you must be feeling. We have had dogs before we had children and we all grew older together.
Pets give us unconditional love and affection. I think there is a place in heaven for our pets.

Bill I am saddened to learn of Abby's passing. Gosh I remember when you got her, how time goes so quickly by. Abby was by your side and shared the grief of loss with you. God bless you, you are in my prayers my Friend.

Sorry.

Still have framed photos of my dogs in view. They've been gone for years.

Hey Bill,

I am so sorry you lost your very special friend. They come into your life and then into your heart. They ARE a member of your family, and you grieve as such. At some time in the future, go out and let another one in your home and heart.

Take care my friend,
Mike

Mike
No more dogs for me. I will be 82 in April. Not fair to get another dog who would outlive me. I also do not want to go through this again. They give a lot but hurt to much when gone. Bill

I think watching a dog go down hill is just as painful as the loss. Little Fritz is suffering through his last Winter, his seventeenth.

Hey Bill,

I'm sorry you don't want a new friend, but I understand. I hope you have many friends and your family to fill the void.

Take care,
Mike

Bill my dear friend, I am so sorry for your loss. I have been through this experience 5 times already, and we now have 5 of these little "family members" that bring so much to our lives. Peggy and I have also said that we have obtained our last, as we don't want them to outlive us either, but I can't imagine life without them... Our current brood is 11, 9, 8, 2 and 1 years old. Life without any one of them is a place I don't want to go.

May God comfort you in this loss. I know just from reading this thread that I speak for many when I say that we share your sorrow...

Sincerely, -John
