I spent 2 summers as an exchange student between Bayonne, N.J. and Bayonne, France in 1974-5. Bruno Duclos and his family were Basque and the resistance. They had a clay basement and Bruno when remodeling 40 years later they actually found among other items a German luger that was still in working condition~ My first luger was therefore a 1906 French contract!
