Japanese Small Arms in World War 2

Pretty cool video. As for the Arisaka 99 I kind of like the way they shoot. I have (2) of them that I shoot a good bit, when I can find ammo.

On the note of Japanese weapons, maybe someone can answer something I've wondered for awhile now. The type of wood used in the stock and especially the small piece that covers the top of the barrel. They almost look like a bamboo. Very light in weight. I have always been curious about that.
