Don't take this personally, but that is just nuts; unless you want civilization as we know it to end quickly and in a big fight. JMHO.

Changes can and should be made, but to stop using fossil fuels cold turkey(something that would be impossible to arrange/co-ordinate anyway) would kill millions directly and more millions indirectly, again JMHO.

Operative word: "should" I realize how bound up we are with petro-fuels, and that we do not live in Utopia. It may come down to upsetting the apple cart rather than letting it crash and be entirely destroyed. Bio-fuel cycles the carbon already up here, opposed to bringing more up and burning it. I wouldn't predict anything other than total chaos if it comes to an actual pinch.
