The original mechanism was balanced to fire 123 gr. TCs at 1,073 fps (with medium slow burning powder) from a 100mm barrel.

Unless you are trying to destroy your piece of history, please match your loadings accordingly.

Pressure, by its self, isn't the problem with a Luger; breach block slap, however, is.
