Hello LugerForum!
I have the opportunity to purchase a bayonet manufactured by Krieghoff. It has the HK logo, presumably for Heinrich Krieghoff. Is this an authentic Krieghoff product or some postwar knockoff? I read Randall Gibson's Krieghoff Parabellum book but I couldn't seem to identify any part about Krieghoff making bayonets, besides the ones for the FG rifles. Any help is well appreciated! |

That HK is hand engraved. For all I know it may be authentic, but I would be very suspicious. I hope someone with expert knowledge will give you a definitive answer.

someone with expert knowledge will give you a definitive answer. That's not me but put me down as a non believer. I agree with Ron.

I am not even remotely an expert but I would not buy this. Bill

I would not pay "extra" for that marking; whole bayonet looks a little too shiny to me; but like Bill I'm no expert.

Another example. Bill: This is a well known trademark in the edged weapons collector community. This mark is also found on some Krieghoff Lugers. Both bayonets are Third Reich Fire Dept. dress bayonets. Reference site germandaggers.com
