I picked up a really nice police holster tonight locally. It had a magazine and unmarked loading tool. I wondered if this magazine looks ok to you guys. The numbers look too big to me, but I don't see enough mags to really know for sure. Any help would be much appreciated.

Definitely been renumbered to match a Luger. When, I have no clue.

To bad it got ruined. The 3 I assume is the 3rd mag issued with the original police. Should make a good shooter mag anyway. Bill

Is the Starburst over "K" a Berlin interwar acceptance mark?

Could be VOPO, Danish, Dutch..hard to say but not Bubba. This was likely done by an armorer.

Thanks for the replies. It has a really good spring and is all nice and tight. I will keep it for a shooter mag. Did the period mags ever have the bigger fonts like that?

yes, you see all kinds of fonts on police mags - some larger like this.
But always hard to know for sure who put it on. The starburst was 1929-1934 |

Vopo numbers tend to be "large" like these; could be from that rework/use.
