Sometimes during a Luger extractor replacement, the checking of movement with a dummy case is overlooked. The smallish coil spring will compress to a final amount, if it does before the extractor nose is over the rim, the extractor takes the grief of the situation. Sometimes the replacement spring's full compress height is not correct; parts is not always parts sorta speak, requires checking for longevity.

I think the extractor movement should always have a little movement above the rim, otherwise, things are stressed; and extractors are getting more expensive.
