Default Another newbie

New to the forum and just picked up my first P08 and was looking for a little help on identification. It definitely looks like a mismatch but any info would be appreciated. I took as many pics as I could of any markings I found.

Now that is interesting. It lists the Luger as 'Allied Government Material". This document is different from the usual 'bringback papers' we see here. I wonder if it was a mistake to put a captured weapon on this particular "government property purchased by me" form along with the Zeiss camera???

And in a 'duffle bag' no less...

We all know the military/government rarely makes mistakes...

Yes it is a mismatch your frame is from 1941/42 . The upper part is from 1938.

The side plate doesn't match the upper or the lower part. The sear bar matches the upper part and the safety matches the lower part. Can't make the number on the trigger, extractor nor on the locking lever.

Agree it will be a nice shooter if the mismatched parts were fitted as a pistol.

It is very unusual to see a completely un-messed with finish pistol in such good condition that is mismatched!

Sad to see this one lose so much value due to a mistake made years ago.

Not where they were effectively used as military pistols it isn't.
