Default Colt Pocket Positive in original box

Hi,
I'm really excited about this little one.
Well, although I'm still working on two other pieces that are prt of the batch found in an attic, this one crossed my path I simply couldn't refuse it.

It is a blued Colt Pocket Positive, serial number 136065, made around 1926, with a 3"1/2 barrel and rubber rips. The gun came with its original case (with its labels inside) and owners manual and shooting leaflet.

Although the gun was found in Brazil (where we speak Portuguese) the manual is written in Spanish and the labels are dual languange.

Everything you see cost me around US$ 340.00, which I think it was a good buy. Hope you enjoy it.

Douglas

Fantastic! That is every collector's dream, to find a mint pistol complete with intact original packaging and documents. That is an outstanding find and it couldn't happen to a nicer guy, although your image is slightly tarnished since you "stole" it at $340...slightly criminal

It would be interesting to learn under what conditions this gun was kept all these years. The perfect storage procedure.......

That is a BEAUTY!!! To find one in that condition anywhere near that price just doesn't happen.....at least to me. Congrats on a wonderful old Colt in pristine condition.

I'm not seeing a "mint" revolver, but finding it with the box and paperwork is really great. Congrats.

Just a small nitpick, Douglas. The pistol would be referred to here as "boxed". Or "originally boxed".
"Cased" in English gun parlance, refers to a custom fitted, (usually factory) presentation container, usually including accoutrements, ammunition, etc.

Thanks for pointing that.
Corrected!
I guess that I used the word "cased" because it is a common expression when you collect military medals (at least I always see "cased medal").
