New to me Simson "Army" P 08 # 4141 with matching magazine.
The good: -not often found with a matching magazine - small parts matching (except an Erfurt breech block ![]() -Didn't cost an arm and a leg, just an arm. ![]() The not so good: mismatched as noted, refinished, import marked.

I know you have it in hand - not sure I would immediately say its been refinished?
but then I looked at the swirl markings on the ears and the acceptance and proof - pretty light... looks like a decent piece, right below, smack dab in the middle first 10,000 ![]() |

Ed,
you are correct- "part" of the pistol may be original, and some refinished. I know it did not start life with the Erfurt breech block, as the block has fine pitting under the blue- there is no pitting anywhere else on the pistol. I is a mystery how so many parts stayed together, the grip screws and ejector are also e/6; but no e/6 on the correct numbered extractor or striker. Maybe you can have a look in Feb., if we both make the show in Louisville.
