Good news at the range today... the drop of Blue Loctite on the rear site teeth did the trick with holding the setting at 100 yards under recoil. No problems with it moving forward at all. I shot it with the stock this time (the one I received a couple of weeks ago) and it worked great - no faults at all with 24 rounds (3x8) from MecGar magazines.
I would have shot the rig some more but I took my wife and daughter with me to practice with our home guns (S&W revolvers) and when it's time to go, IT'S TIME TO GO, especially when it's about 90 degrees and the afternoon sun is beating down. The Artillery rig was a big hit with the Range Officers... not something even they see very often, I'm sure. |
