The NY "S.A.F.E." Act contains a ten-round mag limit--modify permanently or sell them out-of-state. it also mandates backgorund checks for ammo, but it has not been implemented yet, aside from the restriction of picking up ammo at the FFL, to whom it can only be sent now.

This was an executive order by the governor, perpetrated late one Sunday night when the legislature was out of session, IIRC, with no public input. It also made my Thompson semi an "assault rifle"--presumably because its pistol grips make it extra- deadly!

Trust me, gun laws are the LEAST of the problems in this state.
