Default Does anyone know Big Norm?

As his namesake I have to ask, does anyone know Big Norm personally? He hasn't posted on this forum for over 10 years.

I don't; but as a forum "friend" who has benefited from his posts, whether past or present, I felt like a friend to him.

I joined here in 2009, so Big Norm would have been at least semi-active when I joined, which would make it seven years ago, when he accepted my 'friend' request.

Sadly, I think many of the older inactive members may no longer be with us.

He visited the Chantilly show many years ago when it was still a great gun show...perhaps eleven years past.

Big Norm used to communicate with me a on a pretty regular basis, but as you say, he has not been active for a very long time. I think I will pull up his database entry and shoot him an email and see if the email address is still active.

BN was a very active Navy Luger collector...

Some time back, I inquired to Ed Tinker if 'Dok' was still active. He hadn't posted in some time. Ed had some kind of 'forum lookup' (besides the CP) and said that Dok still viewed occasionally but didn't post. Maybe Big Norm is the same???

yes, he is a friend of mine - too much to post here

has a great collection - got irritated at some things happening, life took over and he is doing fine but simply stays away from the forum, AND old friends... I have tried numerous times to bring him back, if only as my friend.

Okay, I got an automated response from his listed email address that says:

Unfortunately I am unable to proceed because the page it sent me to is a dead page.

Do we have anyone in Michigan who could check on him? If so, send me a PM and I will provide as much detail as possible.

Thanks,
