Hi Gerben,
I remember seeing something like this recently online. As I recall, it was a discussion about prototype or test pistols, and its mag looked like a P.08 mag in the pics. But you might be right about the replica idea. The U-shaped die into which the front was pressed to form its curve has left scratches in the plating--not up to the very demanding standard of quality we usually see.
