RIAC Response For Lot 3241

Here is the response I got from RIAC on Lot 3241, a Persian Artillery:

Thank you for your interest in our upcoming Premiere Firearms Auction – April 29th, 30th, and May 1st. You contacted us requesting additional information for Lot 3241. Please see our review below regarding the information you requested.

You asked for the condition of the bore, are all parts original, and if it has its original barrel. Our describers reviewed the Lot and indicated that the bore is very good with some mild spotting, but bright overall. No, the parts are not all original as they have been partially refinished. The barrel is an unnumbered party that is likely a replacement.

(Add to the above description that the two matching mags are forced matched as per our forum members.)

If the barrel is a "replacement" then someone is a fool as a 4" Persian is worth 60% more than an 8" Persian.

I believe the Luger was originally an Artillery and the barrel was replaced with another artillery barrel.
