Default Mary

I put this in our local paper. Somehow it seems to help to write about her.

On December 30 2015 I lost my wife of 44 years to pancreatic cancer . Since then I have had time to sit, cry and think. Mary was my wife, my best friend and my best buddy. There was no one I had rather spend time with. We enjoyed each others company no matter what we were doing. We did most things together. Being with Mary was always fun ,except maybe shopping at Walmart. We had open communication between us. But after a few years you can communicate without many words. Argue? Of course we are human. But we agreed many years ago to never go to bed angry. We never did. Decisions were always made by discussing it with each other. I always thought maybe I was the boss but I knew deep down I was not. We did not need a boss. Also ,and I feel very important, we respected each other. Love and respect what a great combination.
If you do not have a relationship like this you are missing out on life's greatest pleasure. If you do have this ,realize how fortunate you are and enjoy.
Thank you Mary for 44 wonderful years. Miss you so much Babe. Love forever. Bill

Dear Bill
Reading your lines I've got my hearth full of sorrow and I feel some sort of knot at my throat for you, and Mary.
I wish I had the right words to say, but after all words are only words.
I think, I hope, with my wife Olga I've got something similar, in any case it would be nice if many couples in the World had such a special relationship as you and Mary had.

Dear friend I realize it must be hard, but try to be strong; I send you a prayer and a brotherly hug.

My thoughts continue to be with you, Bill, as you make this difficult adjustment.

A long term mutually supportive relationship like yours' is very special, and something many people never get to experience. Remember the best of times, and savor them!

Default My sincere condolences Bill......

It is a terrible loss Bill, and I too am having a hard time writing this, but it seems as if a common thread runs thru this group, and it has nothing to do with pistols or collecting.. It is about a basic kindness and caring that seems to be a common virtue of this forum... We have shared tragedy together before, and it gives you a unique, but painful view of life and love lost.... I hope you can celebrate her life and memory, and remember the best of times, and find some comfort in those thoughts... I'm sure every one of us, on this forum, has you in their prayers and thoughts for the future.... Best to you Bill, til...lat'r....a very sad GT....
