In my last post I mentioned Masstafeln zur Pistole 08 available from Joachim Gortz. I noticed in Bender's book "Luger Holsters and Accessories of the 20th Century" a lot of technical drawings from the collection of Nico van Gijn. Anyone out there know how I can get in touch with Mr. van Gijn? I would certainly like to see if I could get copies of those drawings. If I had copies of the drawing I might even consider going into business of making QUALITY Luger parts and accessories in accordance with the orginal drawings.

Doug,
On the "Links & Resorces" section, there is a gentleman who has Luger blueprints on a CD. I have not seen this CD and cannot verify to what extent the drawings do into, but if you click on his name, Frank Rial, you can send him a message and find out exactly what he has. If you do this, please let us know what he has available. Marvin |

I also have Franks Luger blueprints on CD! I highly recommend them to all P.08 collectors, as they show the complexity of each and every part! till...later G.T.

I am looking for the book that you have mentioned. BTW, "Masstafeln zur Pistole 08" is not available from Joachim Gortz. I have comunicated with him and it is out of print and will not be reprinted. Copies may be available in germany thru the gun shows, but....
The prints I am offering are from the same source as the prints in Herr Gortz's booklet and are of reasonable quality. It is my hope that some may take them and produce quality reproductions as certain parts are becoming very hard to find. It is also my hope to find resonable prints for 1900 model luger and parts and make those available too. reciently, I purchased a print of a 1900 style ejector for a gunsmith advertising such things on the web. When I got them I realized that not a single dimension, not one, was accurate... a part made from that print would not have fit a gun nor would it have functioned properly... sad. I am grateful to all who have pluged my copies, but the real praise goes to those unnamed draftsmen who made them... I have a hard copy of one of the frame prints, and it is a work of art. thanks again, Frank |
