Smile Another Great GT Mag Repair

Had occasion to send another Luger mag to GT for repair. Just received it back and it is perfect. Most amazing, he did the repair in less than two days. Unbelievable work and response!! Did not even ask for a rush job.........Wow.

THANKS GT.

Ron - Your before & after pics aren't showing up. Please attach them directly to the post, do not link them from off-site.

We want Gerry's restorations to be visible so that others will see his work and admire his skills. (And send him more business!)

Richard:

Have tried to post pics on some unit marked Lugers before on this site in the past but have never been unsuccessful. Just not smart enough to figure it out.

Unfortunately, in this particular case, I did not take a before photo of the mag. Although I did cut and paste the contents of my original thread, I did not try to link my original thread to any off-site pics or content.

I absolutely agree with you (and Pete on Still's Luger Forum who made the same observation), that pictures of repairs by GT, as well as the other artisans we have like Jerry Burney, are the best way to demonstrate their remarkable capability. However, if I cannot post pics, at least I can discuss his great work (and hopefully send him more business).

Ron, the software on the forums will actually resize it for you.

You only have to go to Advanced - Manage Attachment and then choose where you put the photos - need to be on the device you are using, if using a phone or Ipad, I am not sure, I always use my computer...

I mailed GT a couple of magazines on Saturday last week. He emailed me on Monday that they were done. I am not making this up. So not only is he a master craftsman, but seems to have either magical powers or special influence at the USPS re: fast shipping.

GT does do "magic" with magazines and other stuff; one point with mags-
they look a lot the same when finished.

The work is largely on the "inside"!

Gerry straightens bent feed lips, removes nicks & dents, repairs wood bottoms, manufactures new aluminum bottoms, replaces springs, etc...Lots of things to see in before-and-after pics...

It's been said hundreds of times here before...

I agree with above that GT is a true craftsman!! He has built me three Luger mags, including the wood bottoms, which preform 100%, plus repaired/rechambered a total "gunsmith" screwup of a Luger bbl for one of my Lugers. That and others things has made me a true GT FANBOY!!

Default Heartfelt thanks!

Over the years I have been privileged to interact with probably the majority of the members on this forum! And, it has been enjoyment on every level! As my daughter once eloquently stated, in so few words to the effect, It's as if we've found a sense of family here ..... I have only one type of customer service skill, and that is to make the customer as happy as possible, at a fair and reasonable cost, in effect, to put a smile on their face especially at times where there isn't necessarily too much to smile about! This philosophy often exceeds my skill sets, but with a little patience and perseverance, we generally hit the result we're aiming for! .. Again, Thanks to all who support G.T. Specialties, and a most sincere Thanks for John Dunkle for the effort he has made on all our behalf's for this wonderfully venue!...
Best to all, til...lat'r....GT....

Let me only say that it's nice to see there are still people like that around, sorry I don't live a lot closer.

Best regards.
