Alvin, thanks for your reply. I can find no reference that does not indicate that the SN should be on the frame as well as the receiver. However, when I was looking at the pistol yesterday I could not see any indication that the frame had been scrubbed where the SN should have been. I am going back to the gun shop today and break the pistol down and see if there is a SN on the inside of the frame. From what I understand the Danish Police pistol SN's start at 5001. I figure it is either an oddity or a put together parts gun -- if there is a SN on the inside of the frame that would be interesting !!

Thanks,
Wayne

FOLLOW - UP -- Pictures are not the best.

Inspection of the frame after breakdown revealed a definite "D5" on top of the frame well front wall -- the other numbers ("198" ?) were worn away to the point of not being readable.

Also found four hardness test points and either the letter "I" or the number "1" -- inspector code marks most likely ??

Thanks,
Wayne
