Wes, How recent? Is this pic pre or post "recovery" of the B-L#5. Several people, including me, took photos when Mike had it at the Reno show last April.

Good! That most assuredly is BL#5, but from what I can tell in that photo, it had not yet been reunited with the original grips that were left behind on the "substitute" Luger. Close, but not the same.

Seems that nobody wears gloves. They should know better.

I am ignorant of the story on this Luger. Can someone direct me to a source where I can read about this particular Luger and it's history?

The Luger Story by John Walter is a good place to begin.

The story of the Swiss trials is told in MANY books.
