would/should an otherwise complete original matching, 1918 have Erfurt proofed grip screws........when were proofed grip screws deleted from production, if that be the case......no pictures, but ready for all the guff this may cause some so called/self proclamed luger expert....thanks

Erfurt stopped inspection marking grip screws in 1916. Why your 1918 Erfurt should have marked screws is anybody's guess.

Just a thought, but if somebody believed all Erfurts required proofed screws and added them to this particular pistol, I would certainly be on the lookout for other signs of "boosting".

thanks for your help, it's that I came into a 1918 Erfurt that I once owned perhaps 40 years ago, all parts are SN'ed but grip screws and I did not know if that was correct or not, BTW the original un-relieved firing pin is not matching.......
