I own no scoped rifles at the moment, but I have a K31 rifle on standby for a scope and mount. Wish it was easier to scope out my my K98 but that requires some SERIOUS gunsmithing to do it correctly. IF you can find a gusmith who knows old guns!!!

A hinged scope mount?! Did it lock into place to hold zero?

I don't know. Never saw one in person, just the ads.

Pachmayr makes/made a 'Lo-Swing' mount...This is on an M1; I couldn't find a good pic on a bolt action...

It seems to have gotten more complicated since last I saw the ads...

Edit: Found a pic of the older less-complicated model...
