Tom,
I would agree except the side plate now on the Artillery is cut for a sear safety on top and has a small "T" inside. What do you make of those? Yes, the recoil spring is pretty "stiff", so that may be the problem or a big part of it. Will try loading "hotter" rounds first in the mag, i.e. last round, to see if that works.
