The Ortgies is a rather unusual pistol.
I have one that probably came from a German merchant mariner. It was "decorated" with inlaid German and Imperial Chinese coins. Details at: http://forum.lugerforum.com/showthre...ortgies+manual A few years ago, I helped prepare the Ortgies instruction manual as a high resolution PDF from scans provided by Francis on this board... http://forum.lugerforum.com/attachme...1&d=1421337642 As Rich mentions, someone had forced the grips off this gun and then epoxied them onto the frame! The location is very hard to get to, but I eventually removed the epoxy, re-inlaid a piece of matching walnut and rebuilt them... Marc
