Rick,
I bought the toggle already made up from Tom Heller. There is a small block soldered to the rear of the toggle to support the sight. The front mounting screw is tapped into the toggle, the rear elevation screw works normally. http://boards.rennlist.com/upload/ArmadilloGunr.jpg |

Rick,
In soldering the guards on the knives I make, I have found that the solder-flux combo in paste form seems to work best. Second choice is Brownells Hi-Force 44. |

Here's an outfit that sells the silver solder paste in a syringe for $7.95. It's a lot cheaper than Brownells $25. They also sell other types of silver solder used in the jewelery trade. Hope this helps.
