If you are talking about Swiss, I would guess it would be a very early 1900 with an unrelieved frame and flat button magazine. Prototype and pre-production pieces are out of the question for anyone other than millionaires.

Not many variations, just 1900 DWM military and commercial, 1906 DWM military and commercial, and the two produced by the Swiss - the Model 1906 Bern and the Model 1929 Bern

Not exactly. DWM produced the Swiss Lugers up until WWI. The Swiss started making their own in 1918.
