Eric, Ron was referring to the DWM-produced Lugers as being the ones frequently faked. The Wiki link talks about the American made model, which was .22lr only. I think Terry Tiel posted with pics of a lady friend shooting his a while back. He apparently has one that works OK, but other examples can be as problematical as Erma's Luger wannabe from the same time period. For these, nobody bothers with faking. There's no "lesser" pig available upon which to apply lipstick; and a brand, spankin' new one in the box would likely only fetch about $350-400, absolute max!
