Memorial day tribute

In 1974 I spent a summer in Bayonne France 30 miles north of the Spanish border. Even there hundred of miles south of the invasion there were huge concrete fortifications all along the south coast of France. They felt ready no matter where we landed so they believed. I wonder if things would have been different if they had woken up Hitler earlier. Probobly not as be believed Normany was still just a diversion holding back the panzer units.
We were better prepared and he wasn't! Eric
