What makes you say $1500 is not a great deal? I have not seen the top and I have not seen the under barrel SN, but assuming ALL the parts are Erfurt proofed & numbered correctly (barrel, toggle, screws, internal parts, grips, etc), that is a 1800-1900 gun - it is an early Erfurt in very good condition. I would buy it for 1500 without batting an eye. - Geo
