Hi,

Has anyone ever seen original German Army issue replacement barrels without the stepped chamber?

Or for that matter, has anyone seen a Mauser Luger made in 1942 without the step?

You will need to determine in just what year your barrels were made and by whom?

Was your Dad part of the Army of Occupation? If you have his Army Discharge document, it will give you his service history on the back, including his date of repatriation to the U.S. Perhaps that will help you center in on the time frame he may have obtained these barrels. I do know that the Army PX was selling Lugers as late as the mid 1950's.

To me, these still look like modern made Luger barrels. This is just my opinion, however. Others may think otherwise and for very good reasons.

Here, you either have a rarity or a complete fake. It is up to you, however, to prove which.
