I don't mean to be a party pooper...

Every time I see this thread highlighted for this section, I click to the last post to find out whether Ed's carbine has arrived! I hope I share some of his anxiety and curiosity about how this project turns out, and am eager to hear the news that it's arrived and looks fantastic. And then some juicy pics to gorge upon!

But... Every time seems to be something else. I usually don't mind a ramblin' thread, and am likely guilty of plummeting off-topic, myself, but the continuing, fine contributions to this one are beginning to strike me as a bit of a tease! Only this particular thread seems frustrating to me in this way. I am, by no means, advocating a tightening up of post-to-topic, rather, asking special dispensation for this one only.

This will be my last post in this chain until either Ed announces the baby's arrival, or Eugene gives us an update--the latter unnecessary, I hope!
