Surgery is considered successful, but the use of my hand? Only time will tell...
Must wear a removable cast all the time for at least 2 months. Professional Physical Therapy two times a week, and every day I have to manually exercise the damaged hand with assist from the good side... every two hours to keep the damaged tendons flexible during the healing process. Repair surgery left two new incisions to heal (see photo---sorry the photo is fuzzy... cell phone pic taken with my shakey left hand...) Pain meds have been reduced from Oxycodone to Advil... good thing... the old one made me sleepy and feeling stupid... Pain for the time being is constant, but manageable. Learning to do things left-handed? Not so great. ![]() thanks for asking...
