A 30 luger 1911 barrel, who can do it?

Hi,
I hope it's OK to add to a post that's been dormant for a while.
There's a gunsmith I know who was actively pursuing 30 Luger in the 1911, specifically for use in NRA Bullseye competition. He got Bar-Sto to make him a few barrels. He is also a Master ranked shooter. I shot with him many times and witnessed some very impressive scores, especially on the 50 yd. slow fire course. If I recall correctly, he used a cast bullet hand load.
I did try his pistol myself and can say the recoil and muzzle blast were quite mild.
Anyhow, the guy's name is Dave Salyer. He's on the various Bullseye forums and sites such as:
