Default Borchardt for $17.00 come-on man !!!

Earlier today I was visiting a friend who owns a gunshop. He showed me a book of bound American Rifleman magazines. A complete 1937 compilation that he acquired at a local antique store. The magazines are in beautiful condition. No Lugers for sale to speak of, but several ads for Borchardt pistols. Most were $19.95 but one was $17.00. How about a Savage 99 for $11.00. Now, where did I park that time machine again?

I was going through some old papers of my Grandfathers and came across a notebook listing all the guns he owned. One entry showed that he owned a Luger and sold it in 1959 for $30.00. I felt queezy the rest of the day.

I'm all up for a $17 Borchardt! In fact, I'll take two!

The "Borchardt" of our era is Mosin-Nagant 1891 rifle in good shape. It probably won't go thousands in future, but goes to $500, $600, $700 in future? easy.

alvin,

Are you only saying that because the Mosin rifle is so ugly?
