Default 1913 Luger with B7R Unit Markings

Hi guys,
I just bought a nice 1913 military Luger with B7R markings on the front strap, which is purported to be Bavarian 7th Regiment. The markings though are not per regulations. Any word from the wise?
Thank yuo,
Vlad

Vlad, I believe I have your pistol on my list of unit marked guns. Is the serial number 1718?

This one of the two I was going to bid on the RIA auction as it being a Bavarian. The other was the Ersatz MG but not a Bavarian MG.

Congrats on your win, it's a fine example

Guys,
Thank you for the replies - means a lot! And yes, George, the number is 1718, matching numbers, including the mag. I doubted the authenticity of the unit markings though because the dots are absent and halo might be a little too pronounced for comfort. I would be my pleasure to post more pictures when the gun actually arrives from the auction. Just let me know.
Thanks again,
Vlad
