In general, gun is an expensive item. Sometimes, we look at a relatively cheap gun, for example, Norinco Tokarev, say $350, and we feel its absolute price is not high. But that's comparing with other guns. If visit Sears, for example, that's the price of an new lawnmower, which is a much bigger, heavier and complex device, and it's super useful. Thinking from that angle, then, there is virtually no cheap gun. Even Norinco is not cheap, let alone a C&R.

Of course, that's the view of people don't play guns. For gun lovers, that's less relevant.
