I know you've 'lost' but I'd appeal all the way up if I could. I would write your congressmen and use the WW2 servicemens card that you can't believe that a 60 year old family heirloom has been stolen by the county. even if it does you no good, write letters to your congresmen / congresswomen, city newspapers, counsel men , anyone to tell the world that you can't believe this is america and you are considering moving out of state. Try some avenues that gun owners never consider - the ACLU will defend anyone's rights; question why your search and seizure rights were trampled upon?
