Firing Pin?

From whom or where can I purchase an extra firing pin? does anyone manufactor them? Which leads to another question.

I believe that most collectors think it is a "mortal sin" to fire collectable Lugers and I agree, to a point. I've been around collectable firearms for a long time but Lugers are realitively new to me. So My question is what parts are most likely to break on a 70 years old Luger? My guess is firing pin and extractor. What other part is of concern to you guys?

I know that companies like Sarco used to carry firing pins, but I'm not sure if they have them now.

Get a fluted firing pin, and be sure to get the correct length for your receiver.

Most likely to break is ejector.
But extractor, rear toogle and bolt is very common to.
Here in sweden where they have been used for competition for many years (in the 30th-70th mainly) there is a lot of them with filed and fixed triggerpulls and those are often entierly wrongly "fixed"

If you have a numbers matching Luger that you want to shoot a fair amount, you might want to consider just getting a replacement toggle train complete. It may need to be fitted, as these luger were all hand fitted, but the things that you are most likely to break are in the toggle train.

Some time back I purchased a complete Erfurt toggle train and fitted it to my DWM Luger. now I can shoot it with no worry of broken parts.

Numrich Gun Parts also has/had fluted firing pins, if Tom is out of them.
