Default Grip refurbishment

All who have grips with me to be worked on, please be patient, I will get to them eventually.

My wife had right hip replacement in Feb, came home on Friday and while asleep on Sunday night rolled out of bed and damaged new hip. Back to hospital for surgery to replace the pin, while in the hospital it wasn't draining well, so had to go in and install drain tube. Finally got her home two weeks later. She was home about three weeks and the hip started giving her a lot of pain, went back to the doctor last Monday and he xrayed and said it had slipped out of place, so Tuesday she had another operation to put it back and install a "hook" to keep it in place. She may be able to come home next Tuesday.

All this has caused me to get WAY behind in grip checkering and refurbishment, I must have 20 pair in there waiting on me! That is why I am now quoting a 10 week turnaround until I get caught up, thanks for your patience.

I hope things go better in the near future. You're a lucky man--you still have her.

My thoughts and prayers to you and your wife. The grips be damned your doing what you need to do. There is not a higher priority. Bill

Hugh..Good to know! Sorry to hear about her hip problems..sounds like they hurt! I know when Ellie broke her ankle I spent weeks tending her, building a wheel chair ramp, shuttling her to Dr appointments, cooking cleaning..it went on and on.

Give her our best and get back to work when you can! Your clients will understand.

Hugh, my thoughts go with you and your wife.

The ortho stuff can get complicated.

As Studs Terkel used to say on the radio, "Take it easy, but take it!"

Hugh,
My younger son, 35, had his hip joint "merely" relined last winter. After 6 years of pain and nasty meds, he is finally getting some much-deserved relief from the situation. I guess what I'm saying is hang in there, when the problems are sorted out it will be way better than before, better days ahead! We admire your patience and sense of responsibility to your Honey, and wish the best for her. I agree with Bill, your priorities are in the right place; do what she needs and don't stress the backlog. Plenty of time for that later!
