Hello,
Back in the 60's I purchase three Luger frames. Serial # 45488 is a grip safety, no stock lug and the word Germany does not appear anywhere on the frame. The other two frames are serial #'s 35408 and 44427. These are also grip safeties with out stock lugs, however the word Germany is stamped under the serial #. The only serial numbers appear on the front of the frame and no other place. All three have the spiral recoil spring and accept WW2 receivers without any over/under hang ie the receiver length and frame channel length are the same. My questions are were these frames from P06 or P08 pistols and do the export frame serial #'s fall in the range of American Eagle Lugers? Thank you in advance for looking at this Aldo35 |

The grip safeties identify them as 1906. There is no "range" of American Eagle Lugers, AE and Commercial production (and a few Swiss) were intermixed with no particular order. Any 1906 Luger with GERMANY stamped on the front of the frame has a strong liklihood of being an AE, but with no certainty.
