Default Re: Buyer Beware!

Tom H,

Unfortuately, I know what you are saying. But searching for the correct serial number on a magazine is part of the fun and challenge of collecting Lugers. Many people understand this and some just don't get it. Don Hallock publishes his list of available magazines. He goes through a lot of trouble to publish that list. And he isn't going to get rich on it. A true collector who respects the historical makeup of the Luger or any other collectible weapon will look for the appropriate matching magazine, part or other accessory.

People on this forum are always asking questions trying to understand just what kind of magazine and markings that their Luger should have. Numerous books have been written about Lugers, their markings and the magazines that belong with them. And many of these books have been sold. Don't you understand why this is all being done?

In any case, the obnoxious behavior of Mr.Krammer and his abrupt hanging up on me can not be justified. I can understand the shallowness of some sellers of collectibles of any kind. I can walk away from people who hold that train of thought without getting hostile about it. But I just don't like it when they are rude about it.
